Sravya Manasa
Dr. Sravya Manasa is an acclaimed Kuchipudi dancer, choreographer, scholar, and artistic director, who has been practicing the art form for over two decades, performing in more than 1900 shows and events across India and internationally. She is the founder of Sravya Manasa’s Dance Ensemble, one of India’s largest classical dance ensembles, and the driving force behind Sumadhura Arts Academy, through which she has been mentoring dancers for over 15 years. Dr. Sravya Manasa is also the creative mind behind IRA Studios, a network of dance studios in Hyderabad with centres at Motinagar, Manikonda, and Old Alwal, creating vibrant spaces for artistic training and expression.

Her artistic work often goes beyond performance. Many of her original productions strongly connect with society, using dance as a medium to reflect contemporary realities, cultural narratives, and human emotions. Her recent original dance-theatre production “Pralayantara,” conceptualised and directed by Dr. Sravya Manasa, has received wide appreciation for its powerful theme and presentation.
Over the years, she has been part of several prestigious performances including Miss World 2025, International Dance Day at Global Village Dubai, ISKCON Dubai, Lokmanthan 2024, and Natyanjali at Chidambaram, along with large-scale productions such as Nava Durga, Srinivasa Kalyanam, and Ramayan dance theatre.

Alongside classical dance productions, Dr. Sravya Manasa also creates powerful contemporary choreographies that speak to today’s audiences. One of her noted contemporary works, “Still I Rise,” was first performed at TEDx Hyderabad, reflecting her ability to blend classical training with contemporary expression and thought-provoking themes. Also a TEDx speaker and performer, and a Doordarshan Grade Artist, she continues to take Indian dance to diverse audiences across the world.

Most recently in March 2026, she has added another proud milestone to her journey by being awarded a Doctorate in Dance from the University of Hyderabad, recognising her contribution to both artistic practice and academic research.
